有關奧柏林舞團Oberlin Dance Collective（ODC）

ODC（Oberlin Dance Collective－奧柏林舞團） 是舊金山最具影響力的當代舞團之一，由藝術總監 Brenda Way 創立於1971年。ODC 以大膽創新、極致技巧與跨界合作聞名，是全美首個擁有自營劇場的現代舞團。每年吸引超過五萬名觀眾，足跡遍及紐約、首爾、歐洲與亞洲舞台，作品屢獲國際讚譽。

 

About ODC (Oberlin Dance Collective)

Founded in 1971 by Artistic Director Brenda Way, ODC (Oberlin Dance Collective) is one of San Francisco’s most influential contemporary dance companies. Celebrated for its bold innovation, technical excellence, and groundbreaking interdisciplinary collaborations, ODC was the first modern dance company in the U.S. to acquire its own theater. Performing for over 50,000 audience members annually, the company has toured internationally—from New York to Seoul, across Europe, and throughout Asia—earning widespread acclaim on some of the world’s most renowned stages.

 

墨韻狂潮 Inkwell

靈感來自1920～30年代的黑白卡通，《墨韻狂潮》打造出一個奇幻又怪誕的世界：裡面有瘋狂的角色、誇張的肢體喜劇、復古爵士音樂和動畫感十足的視覺風格。這不只是跳舞，更像是在看一部活生生的卡通電影！同時也暗喻了現代社會中，領袖如何透過魅力一步步操控人心，帶領觀眾進入一個充滿挑戰與嘲諷的視覺世界。

 

Inspired by 1920s–30s black-and-white cartoons, Inkwell immerses you in a fantastical, quirky world filled with eccentric characters, slapstick humor, and a jazz-infused soundtrack. The piece blends absurdity with sharp social commentary, satirizing the power of charisma and the way entertainment often merges with propaganda. This isn’t just dance—it’s a living cartoon brought to life on stage!

這是一部讚頌舞蹈之美的作品！從ODC舞團創立55年以來的歷程出發，探索舞蹈怎麼從簡單動作發展成極致技巧的過程。《上與下的簡史》節奏鮮明、充滿活力，像是一封獻給舞蹈的情書，也像是在提醒我們：這不是為了表演，而是真實的身體在跳舞、真實的人們在活著。

 

A vibrant celebration of dance’s beauty and evolution, A Brief History of Up and Down explores the journey from simple gestures to breathtaking virtuosity over the course of ODC/Dance Company’s 55-year history. With rhythm, energy, and precision, it’s a reminder that this is not just a performance—these are real people, really dancing.
